Calvary youth, grade nine – young adult, meet twice monthly for fun and reflection. Our youth group is small, and the members themselves take an active hand in choosing and organizing activities. In addition to an active slate of fellowship activities, meetings provide an opportunity for young people to reflect upon their faith in the context of their daily lives. In the past year, we have explored the art of listening and communication, struggled with what it means to take personal responsibility for the wellbeing of others, and discussed the dynamics of racism and stereotypes at school and in society at large. Our fun activities have included movie nights, bowling, game nights and … well… just about anything the kids cook up!
